pcb
Single Piece
One individual PCB. Boards are manufactured and shipped as separate single pieces.
Panel
Multiple boards combined on one production panel (e.g. 2×2 array). When selected, enter the number of boards per panel — numbers only.
Circle
Circular board outline instead of a rectangular one.
PCB Material: FR4-TG
TG (glass transition temperature) grade of the FR4 base material. A higher TG gives better heat resistance during assembly and operation. TG 150-160 suits most applications; choose TG 170-180 for lead-free reflow or high-temperature use.
Thickness [mm]
Finished board thickness in millimetres, including copper and solder mask. 1.6 mm is the industry-standard thickness.
Min. track/spacing
Minimum copper track width and minimum gap between tracks, in mils (1 mil = 0.0254 mm). Smaller values allow denser routing but cost more. 6/6 mil is a safe standard choice.
Min. hole size [mm]
The smallest drilled hole diameter on the board, in millimetres. Smaller holes require more precise drilling and increase cost. 0.3 mm and above is standard.
Solder Mask
The lacquer coating that protects the copper traces from oxidation and solder bridges. Green is the industry standard with the shortest lead time; other colours may add production time.
Green
Industry-standard colour. Best availability, shortest lead time and lowest cost.
Red
High-visibility red mask, often used to distinguish prototypes or revisions.
Yellow
Yellow mask. Note that silkscreen contrast is lower on yellow.
Blue
Blue mask, commonly paired with white silkscreen.
White
White mask, popular for LED lighting boards (best light reflection). Usually paired with black silkscreen.
Black
Black mask with a matte or glossy finish. Usually paired with white silkscreen. Hides traces; inspection is harder.
Purple
Purple mask, a distinctive premium colour. May add lead time.
Silkscreen
The ink used to print component legends, logos and markings on the board. White is the standard choice on green or dark solder masks; black is used on white or light masks.
White
Standard silkscreen colour — best contrast on green, blue, black and most masks.
Black
Used on white or other light-coloured solder masks.
Yellow
Yellow legend ink; check contrast against your chosen mask colour.
Finished copper — Top Layer
The finished copper weight (thickness) on the outer layers, in ounces per square foot. 1 oz ≈ 35 µm is the industry standard; heavier copper carries more current but increases cost and minimum track width.
Finished copper — Bottom Layer
The finished copper weight (thickness) on the bottom layer. 1 oz ≈ 35 µm is the industry standard. Select Bare Board (0 oz) if the bottom side has no copper.
Via Process
How via holes are treated by the solder mask. Tenting covers the via with solder mask (standard choice); plugging fills the via with mask material; "not covered" leaves the via pad exposed for testing or heat dissipation.
Edge Connector
A card-edge connector ("gold fingers") — plated contact pads along the board edge that plug into a socket. When selected, the edge is usually bevelled (chamfered) for easier insertion, and a wear-resistant finish such as Hard Gold is recommended.
